I bought Northern Brewer’s All Grain Brewing System and started all grain brewing in 2020. In the beginning, these beers still weren’t great, but they were better than the extract batches I was brewing. While living alone, my “home brewery” (if you can even call it that at that point) was graffiti themed. Both the brewery name and beer names, but my wife and I had recently decided to get back together and work things out. So with the change of the brewing process, I figured I’d change the theme of the brewery too. So I switched to more of a family theme. Goss was my grandmother’s grandfather’s last name. He used to make moonshine during prohibition and I wanted that to be a part of my new brewing name. I asked my wife which name on her side of the family she’d like me to use and she said her maiden name, Victorino. I mashed the two names together and Gossorino Brewing was born. I try to brew every other weekend and try as many different styles as possible. There’s only a handful of recipes I’ve brewed more than once, I’m trying to figure out which ones are worth keeping and what to get rid of. That way I can eventually dial in those keepers and keep a nice selection on rotation. I have no intentions of upgrading my system in the near future. What I have works and I plan on sticking with it. All of my beers can be found and checked in on Untappd along with a TeePublic account for merchandise. It works for now, but someday I’d like to work on something better.
